Continue ShoppingStolen Moments: The Photographs of Ronny Jaques
A contemporary of Richard Avedon and Lillian Bassman, Ronny Jaques (1910–2008) covered fashion, travel, performing arts, and lifestyle scenes for American magazines, in particular Harper's Bazaar and Town & Country, that remain revered in their respective fields. He quickly established himself as an innovator and now occupies a firm place in the pantheon of post-World War II photographers.
In Stolen Moments, his work is chronicled for the first time in book form by prominent publishing figure and close friend Pamela Fiori, former editor-in-chief of Town & Country.
About the Author:
Pamela Fiori was the first female editor-in-chief of Town & Country magazine and served in the position from 1993–2010. Under Fiori's editorship, Town & Country—America's longest continuously published general-interest magazine, established in 1846—has become the premier luxury lifestyle magazine in the United States, edited for the country's most sophisticated, affluent, and accomplished women. In addition to Town & Country, Fiori has also produced two semiannual editions of Town & Country Weddings and several books on entertaining, weddings, and modern behavior. Prior to her achievements at Town & Country, Fiori was widely credited with the success of American Express Publishing's Travel & Leisure, which she edited for fourteen years. In her expanded role, Fiori oversaw all editorial operations for American Express Publishing magazines, which included Travel & Leisure, Food & Wine, and Departures. Fiori is also on the board of directors of the US Fund for UNICEF, and the founding co-chairperson of the UNICEF Snowflake Project. She received the Audrey Hepburn Humanitarian Award in 2005.
