Hunt Slonem is an internationally recognized American painter, sculptor, and printmaker. He exhibits regularly at both public and private venues around the world. His work has been exhibited in more than 350 galleries and museums worldwide and is represented in over one hundred museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, in New York City. Hunt has received numerous honors and awards, including a MacDowell Fellowship and National Endowment for the Arts grant. He lives in New York City and Louisiana, where he has notably restored two important plantations. 

Slonem’s paintings are influenced by his early exposure to the natural world and his studies of art history. He is particularly known for his portraits of birds, especially the endangered species that he aims to celebrate and bring attention to through his work. His use of vibrant color and layered brushwork gives his pieces a dynamic, almost tactile quality.

With numerous solo exhibitions worldwide, Hunt Slonem’s art has been featured in prestigious galleries and collections. His work is celebrated for its emotional depth and ability to evoke joy, while also prompting viewers to consider the relationship between humans, animals, and the environment.
