With a foreword by Tommy Hilfiger, preface by Julia Chaplin, and afterword by Andrew Niccol, See the World Beautiful is a force to behold, recognized by Oprah as one of her favorite titles of the season and featured in the New York Times Style section.
Noted photographer Anne Menke has traveled the world on assignment in search of ideal fashion shoot environments for clients, including Conde Nast Traveler, Elle, Esquire, GQ, Travel & Leisure, Vogue, and W. In her travels, she has often discovered that the environments themselves house the roots and origins of the fashions seen on the runway. with texts by contemporary visionaries, along with the author's own introduction and extraordinary images, this sensitive, insightful work explores the intersection of fashion and culture in the ethnic populations of Asia, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and North America. It is a celebration of people, places, and our perception of art, fashion, culture, and photography in the modern world.
"Experiencing the different cultures in their natural environs has inspired [Anne] to see the world beautifully and to share it with us one image at a time." —Tommy Hilfiger
